PENCIL HELLENIC PHRASES
Stelakis signature Hellenic Phrases pencils come in three different phrases FREEDOM OR DEATH, JESUS CHRIST CONQUERS and I LOVE GREECE. A symbol of our heritage, faith and a place we call home.
FREEDOM OR DEATH: "Freedom or Death" in Greek is Ελευθερία ή θάνατος. This is the National Motto of Greece, originating from the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire. The motto symbolizes the resolve of the Greek people against oppression and is represented by the nine stripes on the Greek flag, each representing one syllable of the phrase.
JESUS CHRIST CONQUERS: "Jesus Christ Conquers" is the meaning of the Christian symbol "IC XC NIKA", which uses the first and last letters of the Greek words for Jesus (IC) and Christ (XC). The symbol represents the victory of Christ over sin and death through his sacrifice on the cross, and is a significant emblem in the Eastern Orthodox Church. This phrase signifies Christ's victory over sin and death.
I LOVE GREECE: The phrase "I LOVE GREECE" symbolises a deep rooted affection and appreciation for the motherland, Greece. It represents a love for it's culture, history, and the people.
